If our understanding of God is anchored in biblical truth, our circumstances pose no threat to our faith in Him.

There are 2 primary ways we assess God's character:

1. Live life and allow my circumstances to inform my view of God and His goodness and faithfulness to me. (Conclusion)

2. Start with the foundational presupposition that God is good, as His Word reveals, and then pass my circumstances through that filter, looking to interpret life in that light. (Foundation)

God's goodness is a foundational truth, not a hypothesis awaiting further testing.

The goodness of God:

Inspires our devotion

Increases our love

Invites us to know Him
